Rats

Rats - Band of robbers from books about the witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski. Called by the locals as a hanza. Operating in the areas attached to the Nilfgaard.

"They were outcasts. They were a strange jumble made by war, misfortune, and contempt. War, misfortune, and contempt tied them together and threw them to one bank, as a flooded river throws and settles on the beaches drifting, black pieces of wood smoothed against stones. [...] They stood out by their arrogance and haughtiness, self-confidence, mocking bitterness, and violence.
And contempt.
They were children of the time of contempt. And they had only contempt for others. Only strength mattered to them. [...] Giselher became the leader of the group. They called themselves Rats. Someone called them that once, and they liked it. They robbed and murdered, and their cruelty became proverbial. "
